Skoda Kodiaq RS Review: Big Beer – Introduction

Kodiyak’s sporty RS version is finally making its way for India, and we find out if this famous letter is proud.

We have Skoda Kodiak In India, first, but the sporty RS version never. However, it is ready to replace with the advent of the second generation model. Regular Kodiak will be launched here in April quarterAnd the possibility of the RS version will reach by October, but unlike regular Kodiak, RS will come in the form of a CBU import, meaning it will be expensive.

Skoda Kodiaq RS External Design & Engineering (Rating 7/10)

Kodiak is like less SUVs than before, but you will not mistake it for a property.

The fragmented grille is exclusive to the DRL RS version.

Skoda Kodiaq – named after Kodiak bear – was first unveiled in 2016, with the second generation in late 2023. It is made on Voxwagen The group’s MQB Evo platform, derived from the MQB platform of the previous car. The new car has become 60 mm long, but is about 10 mm shorter, making it a longer stance. But when it is less like SUV than before, you will not make a mistake for a property.

The RS version stands with a black-out grille, lower bumper air intex and a cool-looking segmented DRL that runs between grill slats and spreads into the headlight daytime running lamp (DRLS). Like the standard car, the headlamps are divided to LED matrix units.

Kodiaq RS comes with an exclusive 20 -inch alloy wheels

Alloys are designed with aero efficiency in meditation.

There are exclusive two 20 -inch alloy wheel designs for RS, with red brake calipers, black cladding around the wheels, and black accents on lower sil, wing mirrors and b, C and de pillars. At the back, tail-lights have a cool partition and mirror look, spreading across a reflector bar across the lower half-boot lid, replacing logo with Skoda’s lettermark. The rear windshield is at the top by a deep spoils and is filled with feathers ending in black. Skoda says this aid is airflow around the car, which helps in reducing the drag coefficient. Neo-Jen Kodiak From 0.31 to 0.28.

Skoda Kodiak RS internal location and rest (rating 8.5/10)

The internal location is very much and Skoda Kodiaq is also comfortable inside the RS

There is a weight of space all around; The rear legrooms and headrooms are impressive.

There is an all-black affair inside, from the headliner to carpet. You can choose between the sporte seat, dashboard, door pads and centers arms between suede or leather trim, but in only one color – black. And the one who actually sets it is vibrant opposite to red stitch around the cabin.

The 3-spoke steering wheel wrapped in perforated leather is visible, with RS badging at the bottom. It is good to hold and has scroll wheels that are familiar and easily used.

Skoda has placed additional length for good use. The front and back are enough headrooms, and even with the seats set at the back for taller passengers, the second line residents will have a lot of legrooms. It can be further adjusted, given that the second line is slide and recurrence.

Like the previous car, the new Kodiak can also be done as a 7-seater, with the third line booting away from the very neatly in the floor. Our car was a 5-seat variant, so we will reserve decisions on the third line, but the boot space is very big. Without the third line, the boot space is a huge 910 liters, and even with it, 340 liters. There is also an additional tire and a location for cargo cover under the floor.

Most of my time was spent in driving, but after inspecting the second line, it looked sufficiently comfortable despite the 40:20:40 partition, which sometimes makes individual seats too small. Front sports seats on RS are really good, and I was kept in place well during some enthusiastic driving in the hills.

Skoda Kodiak RS Performance and Refiny (Rating 7.5/10)

Kodiak RS Firecracker is not a hurry, but it is enough to justify just one RS badge

2.0 TSI is a happy cruiser and can provide strong acceleration, but you can make it feel hard.

Kodiak RS The VW packs the Group’s familiar 2.0-liter TSI engine. This unit also provides strength to regular Kodiak, but under RS hood, the output collides to 265hp and 400Nm. Incidentally, is similar to power Octavia RSWhich has the same engine, but the torque is 30Nm more here. The output Odiaq is sufficient to pursue a 1.8-tone mass from 0-100KPh to 6.3 seconds from 0-100kph, which is also very early for a real family SUV.

Drive it faster, and Kodiak RS is happy with continuous cruise throughout the day, rests well with the engine. And, do you need a quick overtake, mashing the throttle will make some gear fall, which will make you speed up quickly. The 7-speed DSG Gearbox traveled sometimes through a short speed traffic. In sport mode, shifts are quick, and the engine is placed well on a boil, so it is very quick and easy to overtake at any point.

The engine is extended with artificial soundtrack

The engine note looks good, but it calls Skoda a dynamic sound boost, which increases the actual exit note of the car with an artificial soundtrack.

Skoda Kodiak RS Mileage (Rating 6/10)

Skoda Kodiak RS fuel efficiency will not be too high, expect the limit of only one digit.

We did not get to test the mileage of Kodiaq RS in Croatia, but the engine output, 1.8-ton weighing the car, and the fact that you can feel and even listen to the engine hard, do not expect fuel efficiency to be effective.

Skoda Kodiaq RS Ride Comfort and Handling (Rating 7.5/10)

In comfort mode, there is some float, but ride and handling in all other areas is good in Kodiak RS

The body rolls into the corners, but the sport mode rises well.

Keeping the power of RS down is 4×4 driveline with impressive grip. We had some icy weather, and driving into a hill ski resort on wet roads, I always felt confident and was able to maintain a good speed. The RS has adaptive dumps, and in sports mode, they do a good job of keeping the body role in the check.

What is good that the ride is not a lump. In fact, I found myself using the firmer dumper setting on the highway stretch, as in comfort mode, some bodies float on untouchable surfaces and bends in corners.

There is a variable-rack steering, which adjusts the ratio of low steering input around the bends. These systems often feel, but this is not the case here, providing adequate weight and accuracy with the steering of Kodiaq RS.

Skoda Kodiak RS Facilities and Safety (Rating 8.5/10)

You can expect Kodiak RS will be well equipped

The all-black interior looks sporty, and vibrant red stitch is too much but not overdone. Touchscreen is a new 13 -inch unit that is clever to use.

Equipment-wise, all expected bits, including 3-zone climate control, 10-inch virtual cockpit instrument panel and a free-standing 10-inch infotainment screen or an optional 13-inch unit, as we were on our test car.

India-space model should come up with sunroof

What was not on our Test car was a sunroof, but given the popularity here, expected India model will receive one. Being a Skoda, Kodiak packed in lots of ‘bus clever’ bits, such as the key FOB and the specific storage space for the phone and even the touchscreen cleaning the touchscreen is an easy slight duster to wipe. You can expect the India-spec car be well equipped with all the expected security bits.

Skoda Kodiak RS Price and Decision (Rating 7/10)

Kodiak RS is not a wild child, it is a family SUV with a good sporty side.

If everything happens according to the plan, Skoda says that we can expect Kodiak RS in India by October, and, significantly, local manufacturing is a possibility later. Therefore, while its everyday brother -in -law can be competitively priced, RS will not be the most definitely, as it will come as CBU for now. Expect to ask for a price of about 60 lakh rupees, going into the traditional luxury-brand area, and for some, it takes a lot of money for a Skoda.

But Kodiak RS does a lot to woo you to see all that. There is an option of large -scale space and three rows of seats. It is comfortable and rides well, and you can expect India’s car be well equipped with all the expected security bits. So, this is the ‘family SUV’ from Pat.

But what about the sporty side promises RS badge? This is not a lighter and agile to ensure, but it is very quick in a straight line, and 4×4 drivetrain gives you enough grip in the corners. In addition, the engine sounds fun. So, for that money, then, there is nothing like it really.
