Seven of 16 SUVS BNCAP have so far evaluated from Tata Motors.
In 2023, the government, introduced by the government, India New Car Assessment Program (BNCAP) has taken over the responsibility of global NCAP to conduct a crash test and award score to cars sold in the country. This hopes that it will help buyers to make an informed procurement decision. Since its inception, BNCAP has tested 16 vehicles, mainly SUVs, and the results here are how each SUV performed.
1. Kia Siros

After acquiring 5-star ratings in both adults living protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP), Kia Siros The latest SUV to be tested by BNCAP has become. Compact SUV scored 30.21 points out of 32 in AOP and 44.42 out of 49 in COP; Rating ratings on the entire Siros petrol range. It should be noted that Siros is the first SUV of Kia, which receives a 5-star safety rating in the crash test conducted by BNCAP or GNCAP. Although it uses the K1 platform as Hyundai Grand i10 (found 2 stars in 2020 GNCAP), Kia achieved the top rating by using a reinforced K1 base and adding several hot-stamped parts to the body shell. Siros provides ABS with EBD, TPMS and six airbags (with passenger-side airbag cut-off switch) as standard safety features.
2. Skoda what
January 2025
Skoda Kailak The compact SUV received a 5-star rating in BNCAP crash tests both adult and haired. Scoda’s compact SUV scored 30.88 out of 32 in AOP and 45 out of 49 in Child Cop. Six airbags, three-point seat belts with a reminder for all passengers, ESC for rear outboard seats and isopics anchors are some safety features available in its variants.
3. Mahindra Xev 9e

Mahindra Xev 9e The Cop-SUV was awarded a 5-star rating in the latest round of the Bharat NCAP Crash Test. Electric SUV scored 32 points in AOP and 45 out of 49 in COP. The model tested by BNCAP was Top-Spec Xev 9E pack Three. Security facilities such as 6 airbags, isopics anchors, rear disc brakes and tire pressure monitor are introduced from the range of XEV 9E packs starting from one.
4. Ho mahindra 6
January 2025
Another electricity offer from Mahindra, Ho 6 Apart from this, a 5-star rating for both adult and hair living protection. In AOP, EV scored 31.97 out of 32, while it got 45 out of 49 points in the police. For the side pole impact test, it was rated ‘OK’. Like XEV 9E, BNCAP crash-testing trimmed the range-topping 6 packs, but Mahindra claims that this rating also applies to the base pack. In terms of standard safety equipment, BE 6 comes to detect 6 six airbags, a rear camera, parking sensor, TPM and drowsiness of a driver.
5. Hyundai Tuxon
November 2024
Taxon The first Hyundai car tested by BNCAP in November 2024 was. Its 5-Stara rating in AOP and COP was translated by 30.84 and 41 points respectively. Available with petrol and diesel engines, only pre -crashed, with scores apply. Ahead, Mahindra XUV 3xo The AOP continued the 5-star streak with a score of 29.36 and a score of 43 in the COP. BNCAP reported that MX2 and AX7 L variants were sent for testing by the homegron brand, but the results are applied to the entire XUV 3xo line-up. In addition, all trims of sub-compact SUV have standard safety support technologies such as six airbags, three-point seatbelt with reminders, ESC, isopics seats and a passenger-side airbag cut-off switch. Level 2 adas suite, however, is reserved for the AX5 L and AX7 variants.
8. Mahindra XUV400
November 2024
Three Mahindra SUVs sent for testing in November 2024 HUV400 Stands out as the only EV. It got 30.38 points (maximum 32) in AOP, while it scored 43 points (maximum 49) in the COP. BNCAP reported that the model rating applies to all variants. EC and L Trims come as standard fitments with ABS, ESP, front and rear disc brakes, TPM and isoffix child seats. Note that six airbags are exclusive to range-topping L variants, while the EC model gets only two airbags from the front.
9. Tata nexon
October 2024
In October 2024, Bharat was tested by NCAP, Tata nexon AOP as well as a child-haired conservation police achieved a correct 5-star rating, scored 29.41/32 and 43.83/49, respectively. Standard safety facilities include six airbags, ESc, ABS with EBD, isopics child seat anchor point, rear parking sensor and hill hold control.
10. Tata karrev
October 2024
KarwalAlong with Nexon, the crash test results were also revealed, and like the compact SUV, the Cup-SUV also made 5 stars for both adult and hair-living protection. It scored 29.50/32 points for AOP and 43.66/49 for COP. On the safety front, ABS is found as standard in the range with Curvv EBD, Esc, six airbags, hill hold control and isofix child seat anchor.
11. Tata Karvav EV
October 2024
Karvav EV Secure 5 stars for AOP and COP, scored 30.81/32 and 44.83/49 respectively. It contains six airbags, ESP, all wheel disc brakes, a rear camera and rear parking sensor as standard. The high variants of the electric vehicle get level 2 adas just like its ice twins.
12. Citroen basalt
October 2024
Citroen basalt So far Bharat is the only car in the brand to test the crash by NCAP. The Cup-SUV managed to secure 4 stars for AOP (26.19/32) and 4 stars for COP (35.90/49). On the security front, Citroen provides basalt with six airbags, ESP, Hill Hold, TPMS, a rear view camera, rear parking sensor and isoffix child seat anchor points.
13. Tata Nexon EV
May 2024
Tata Nexon EV India scored a 5-star rating for both adult and child protection in the Crash Test of NCAP, scoring 29.86/22 and 44.95/49 points respectively. Standard safety features include EBD, six airbags, eSP, hill hold control, ISFOIX child seat anchor point, rear parking sensor, rear camera and ABS with TPMS.
14. Tata punch ev
May 2024
Punch evvHe was tested with his cybbing Nexon EV, also achieved a similar 5-star rating for both an adult and child’s occupancy. It scored 31.46 marks out of 32 for AOP and 45 out of 49 for COP. Safety facilities such as six airbags, ESPs, hill hold control, isopics child seat anchor points, rear parking sensors and TPM standard.
15. Tata Harrier
December 2023
The crash was tested in December 2023, Harear The SUV received a 5-star security rating from India NCAP for both adults and child occupants. It achieved AOP score of 30.08 out of 32 and a COP score of 44.54 out of 49. Tata ABS and EBD, Corner Stability Control, Six Airbags, ESP, HOLL HOLD Control, ISOFIX Child Seat Seat Anchor Points, Traction Control and Rear Parking provides a herrier as standard.
16. Tata safari
December 2023
Safari The crash was also tested in December 2023 and received a 5-star security rating from India NCAP for both adults and child occupants. It matched the Harrier with a AOP score of 30.08 out of 32 and a COP score of 44.54 out of 49. As a standard, Tata Safari gets all-wheel disc brakes, six airbags, ABS with EBD, corner stability control, ESP, hill hold control, isoffix child seat anchor, roll-all-oris marriages and trakri.
