Jeep Meridian Long Term Review, 11,500 km Report – Introduction

Meridian joins our long -term fleet and is tasked to remove seven adults from a highway jaunt.

Small, zippy and city friendly Maruti Suzuki Swift Large, heavy and highway adapted Jeep meridian There is quite a shift, but a blot dinner plan with a group of friends meant that the Meridian only ordered the doctor. Either I thought. As soon as I entered the meeting point, I realized a problem. There were seven of us, and while the meridian looks huge on the outside, once you start packing in people, it is quite squeezed. The second line fell down with a flip-fold, but immediately after seeing the third line, the happy smile on my friends’ face turned upside down.

We narrowed the thinnest and athletic of the group and requested and apologized as they had heated themselves from behind. Once he apologized, he asked me to pursue the middle line because the meridian does not have that option. Yes, the second line is fixed.

The 9-spicker alpine system with surround sound is excellent.

Three restraint in the middle row were relatively happy, however, and with all AC vents adjusted, we were ready to roll. For the upliftment of the glum mood, I opened the panoramic sunroof, where the middle line thanked its stars, and the last line prayed that we would reach our destination fast.

Power to Meridian is the same 2.0-liter diesel engine from compass, which is for 9-speed automatic gearbox. I hope that Meridian, being a diesel, was easy at the wallet for a 200 km round trip. Which was immediately clear how it felt with a full weight. A friend who drives a destiny daily could not believe how good the suspension is. Sure, there is no benchmark for a fate ride, but the monococcus of the meridian actually shines on the flat roads. In addition, there is an impressive steering which is light and love for such a large SUV. In the city, you do not feel almost any stress on weapons.

Auto braking needs to be shut down every time you start a car.

As we set out on the open roads, the engine that was growing every time, I put my foot down, settled in a constant drone. This is disappointingly loud. The only way to mute the mill is to raise the alpine audio system, which is, by the way, excellent. Bass and surround sound ensures a good hearing experience, and the calls are crisp and clear. Meridian also gets Edas, who was on the least well marked highway, worked well. Thankfully, for irregular city traffic, you can close it. Unfortunately, it cannot be set on the default, which means that every time you close the car and turn back, you first need to disable the system, or every time someone bites you, it can surprise you by suddenly breaking.

The 360-degree camera is interval-free and also has great clarity at night.

Once we reached the Dhaba, the third line passengers got out of the back and torn their bones for some relief. “This is not a 7-seater” that night I heard the most repeated line. On my way, late night drive was cool, with meridians every collision on the road and the bad section completely with steamer, AC was working tremendously, and the Alpine system helps the passengers to close for some soothing music.

I realized that Meridian is a very good highway car, but as a 7-seater, it is a hard sale. With children, it would be better, but the best use case would have to turn back seats and pack a lot of goods there. Because as a highway cruiser, it is correct – a tried and tested diesel engine (although it is loud), a very good audio system, extraordinary rides on bad roads and many facilities to make the drive easier and safe. Would I regret when I will come back to the city that constructs on already narrow roads? Or would I use low-range gearbox while coming out of Bandra? I would know soon.

Hard door beading means that you need to close the doors with force.
