Possibility of price declaration in May
According to our dealer sources, with the official announcement at the end of this month, the golf GTI can cost around 60 lakh rupees (on the road). Delivery will begin in June from select dealerships across India.

265hp-2.0- Liter Turbo Petrol Engine with 7DCT
India-spec Volkswagen Golf GTI will be powered by a 2.0-liter TSI engine that produces an impressive 265hp and 370nm peak torque. On launching, Golf GTI will become the most powerful Volkswagen car in India, even crossing the recently launched 204hp–Tiguan r-line SUV. The hot hatch will be paired with a only 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox that sends power to the front wheels, and it will also have electronically controlled front-exclusive differential lock. The Golf GTI claims only 0-100kph of 5.9 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 250kph. Volkswagen car will be rival Mini Cooper SWhich, for reference, is 204hp, 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine, with 0.6 seconds to 100kph sprint time.

An enlightened VW logo sits between LED headlights that is attached to a thin light bandage and the bumper in front of it has a large honeycomb-patern air dam with an X-shaped fog light. The upcoming Volkswagen Golf GTI gets a red ‘GTI’ badge on the front doors, in which a strip also finishes headlamps and brake callpers in a single color. Volkswagen Golf GTI rides on five-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels of 18 inch, while the rear section is defined by smoked LED tail-lights, a major roof spiiler and twin exhaust tips.
Volkswagen will offer golf GTI in four colors: Grenadilla Black Metallic, Orex White Premium, Moonstone Gray Black and Kings Red Premium.
Internal part
Inside, golf GTI will be equipped with a leather -wrapped sports steering wheel housing a GTI badge, paddle shifters, 12.9 inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25 -inch driver display (Digital Cockpit Pro) in VW Speak. Other highlights include IDA Voice Control with a seven-spicker sound system, wireless charging, 30-rang ambient light, a panoramic sunroof and a voice-growing feature. Additionally, like the international model, the Tarton seat will come with upholstery, and will include red accents for a sporty touch.
