Honda CB650R E-Clutch Pricing Description

CB650R will weigh a couple of kilos compared to e-clutch standard model

The Honda CB650R is the same as the e-clutch standard bike, save to its innovative clutch system, which allows the rider to make gearshift, come to a stop, and takes away from a stagnation without operation of the clutch. The clutch lever is not left on the Honda bike with e-clutch, and whenever they choose, rider can take manual control.

At 205.8kg, the CB650R e-clutch weighs 2.8kg higher than the standard CB650R, which is a small increase and in reality, the move should be forward on this step. While both the CB650R models are almost identical in appearance, the e-clutch variant has a slightly larger clutch cover to adjust actuators and other technical bits.

The standard CB650R and e-clutch variants are both powered by the same liquid-cooled, 649cc inline for-cylinder engine, producing 95hp at an sky-high 12,000rpm and 63nm is at 9,500rpm. The 6-speed gearbox is shared between the two, and the only difference is how you operate it.

In foreign markets, the price difference between standard CB650R and e-clutch variants is around Rs 20,000. Currently, the ‘regular’ CB650R is priced at Rs 9.20 lakh (East-Dhoreroom, Delhi), and it remains to be seen when it is a pricing strategy when it launches e-clutch variants.
