Isuzu de-max The pick-up truck has found a new all-electric version with a full-time four-wheel drive and a payload of more than a ton. All of this is similar to diesel-operated D-Max, even the ladder-frame maintains chassis, but swaps the oil-border with electric motors and a battery.

Isuzu D -Max uses a pair of EV electric motors – gives a joint output of a – 190hp and 325Nm torque on each axle. Isuju Claims a top speed of 0–100kph time of 10.1 seconds and north of 125kph.
Power to motors is a 66.9kwh battery pack that sits under the floor. It has a 262 km WLTP-certified range and can be charged at a speed of up to 50kw for the top-up time of 20-80 percent of one hour. However, the claim of the claimed range is very low by modern EV standards.

Maintains an impressive off-road capacity
Isuzu says that the battery does not have a huge impact on D-Max’s off-road capacity, which has a depth of EV210 mm ground clearance and depth of 600 mm. It has an approach and departure angle of 30.5 degrees and 24.2 degrees respectively.
In addition to permanent four-wheeler drives, D-Max EV has a dedicated Rough area mode for “extreme off-road capacity”. While it uses the same ladder chassis in the form of regular D-Max, Isuju has fitted a Bispoke de Dio-Suspension System in place of leaf springs for better handling.
The EV is rated to carry more than 1000 kg in its load bed and it can be up to 3500 kg – although Isuju has not yet said what effect it will have on the range. D-Max EV weighs 2350 kg.

Note that this new electric pickup is based on the internationally facelifted model in 2024, not we do not have sales in India. And similarly, D-Max EV is largely similar to diesel-powered D-Max, inner-maximal list, including a touchscreen infotainment screen with smartphone mirroring, a digital driver’s display, dual-zone climate control, parking sensor front and a touchscreen infotainment screen with rear and Heated Front seats. D-Max EV is being introduced in double-cab form only for now.
