Oscar Piastry won Bahrain GP, became the first repeat winner this season and handed over McLaren Its first win in Bahrain International Circuit. With this, Piastry has also eaten in the title lead of Teammet Lando Noris, and now there are just three points.
Mercedes‘George Russell closed Noris to finish second in laps.

Piastry gave Bahrain GP
Making a strong start from the position of the pole, the piastry remained under the front, only once lost the lead during the first term of the pit. He crossed a comfortable flag ahead of Russell on 15.499 seconds.
“It has been an incredible weekend, began with qualifying yesterday. Today was good to finish work in style. I can’t thank enough team for the car that they have given us – it’s very easy,” Piestry said.
“I am very proud of what I have done at the end of this week and is proud to do it in Bahrain here too. It is clearly a very important race for us, looking at our ownership. It is never a track that is not kind for us, so finally it is very good for the team to win the first victory in Bahrain.”
Russell closes Noris
On paper, it should have been a clear 1-2 finish for McLaren, but Noris struggled far more than his team partner. He was initially given five seconds to be out of the situation in his grid box. McLaren quickly made her stand up to make full use of the undercut. While it did this work, it left him weak even during the second term and he passed FerrariCharles Lakeler.
After the safety car period, he had a scrap with Lewis Hamilton, where he was forced to return the situation to overtake the track. Noris rapidly withdraws the situation, and after several unsuccessful attempts to pass Lakeler, he finally made a trick on Lap 52.
He then started stopping the gap of Russell, who was working with an electric host. But Russell finished second.
After showing some promise in mid -stages, Ferrari’s Charles Lakeler and Lewis Hamilton settled for P4 and P5 respectively. He was followed by Max Vestepane, who had a point, two fell behind the ground after stopping the two slow pit – one due to the defective exhaust light, and the other because of an issue with his front tires.
Pierre Galley finished a strong P7, handing over his first points to Alpine in this season. Both HAAS driver ended in the top 10, Estabon Okon took P8 and Oliver Bayerman to P10. Dividing them was in P9 in the Yuki Sunoda of Red Bull Racing
2025 F1 Championship Standing
Noris still leads the drivers’ championship, but his benefit has reached only three points on his team partner Piastry. The Max Verustapane is a total of third, eight points behind Noris.
In the standing of the constructors, McLaren has already gained a 58 point on Mercedes in second place. Red bull racing is the next, 80 points away from the lead.
The F1 will now go to Jeddah for Saudi Arabia GP on 18-20 April.
