Kia Siros has been tested by the Crash by BNCAP and has come up with a 5-star rating for both adult and hair living protection. Siros scored 30.21 out of 32 in adult protection (AOP) and 44.42 runs out of 49 in Bal Occupant Protection (COP).
BNCAP tested the top-spec HTX+ petrol- DCT and MID-Spec HTK (O) Petrol-MT variants, but the ratings apply to the entire cirros range.
Interestingly, the K2 platform of Sonet Kia is based on the Siros small K1 platform that underlines cars such as Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS and Exter. The company refers to the platform of Siros as reinforced K1, however, given that it is strengthened with a lot of hot-stamped parts in the body shell. Kia says that using the new K1 platform has been enabled to upgrade the latest electrical and electronics architecture, as well as to upgrade it to perform better in NCAP tests.
